Cousins Jillian and Tori have been close their entire lives growing up more like sisters than cousins. In their debut cookbook, Fraiche Food, Full Hearts they share over 100 dishes which have served to their families over the years. There are recipes for everyday meals and special occasions, but in my humble opinion, anything served from this cookbook will seem special. There is a lovely range of recipes that include seafood, vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options.

Throughout this beautifully done book, charming photography playfully runs amuck, helpful menu planning is provided, along with guides to pantry staples. The ladies deliver a peek into their busy lives complete with stories from their shared childhood.

Measurements are given in both weight and volume. Certain recipes are straight-up vegan or vegetarian (eggs, honey, etc) while others provide options for vegan diets. I am intrigued by the Vegan caramel sauce (looks amazing!) and have that on the agenda to try soon along with the Green garlic bread. This simple bread would look festive and elegant on a holiday table (or any occasion even Tuesday) and is guaranteed to make your guests feel treasured. Truth be told, I am anxious to try many of the recipes here; they are comforting and evoke a feeling of home.
