Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Lemon-herb cod with crispy garlic potatoes

    • jumali on April 29, 2012

The lemon and thyme flavors were very subtle. There was quite a bit of oil left in the pan afterward, so I would probably halve the amount. That said, it was a delicious dish and I'll definitely make it again.

  • Glazed salmon fillets

    • cthdawn on February 19, 2013

should have brown sugar also listed in ingredients; very good, simple and easy, used creole mustard; a go to recipe when you don't have a lot of time; put over 7 grain rice

  • Crispy salmon cakes with sweet and tangy tartar sauce

    • TaffyDeb on February 27, 2018

Very tasty and goes together quickly with little fuss. I would not purchase salmon from the fish monger for this meal, but it is the perfect vehicle for those frozen filets in the big bags. Where some of the cooking-for-two recipe's portions can be more on the side of, cooking-for-two-linebackers, this is spot on with a salad and a side of roasted potatoes.

  • Crêpes with sugar and lemon

    • darylm503 on May 23, 2020

Requires precision. Final thickness (thinness) of batter is crucial. Almost any fruit jam makes a good filling. Don't use something that is too sweet. Easy!

  • Skillet spaghetti carbonara

    • darylm503 on October 06, 2017

I've made this about a half dozen times so far and every time it comes out wonderful. I use bacon or panchetta instead of ham and more cheese than called for. It is easy, fast, and my wife raves about it. I actually like it better than restaurant carbonara.
