Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Beef enchilada casserole

    • Jiggalicious on September 12, 2012

While it's not the most amazing beef enchilada casserole (then again what is?), it's pretty derned good. I made it while recovering from a bout of illness, and it went together easily. There was enough for three servings, which is good when you live alone but don't want to eat the same thing all week long.

  • Pasta with chickpeas, spinach, and Gorgonzola

    • vhague on January 19, 2017

Does not call for chick peas. Chicken instead.

  • Steak pizzaiola

    • robinj on April 11, 2014

  • Pasta alla Norma

    • TaffyDeb on May 21, 2017

Great no-meat dinner! The eggplant treatment really makes this a quicker meal than when normally dealing with eggplant. Rich and satisfying sauce.

  • Skillet pastitsio

    • TaffyDeb on May 21, 2017

This comes from the Cooking for 2 book, but for us it feeds 3. Very yummy, the cinnamon and nutmeg offer a different taste profile that is delicious!

Publishers Text

America's Table sets the 2010 Table for Two in this popular annual cookbook. Scaling back recipes that serve 8 or more to serve 2 doesn't always mean simple division. It can mean adjusting spices in various ways, using different pans and utensils, and utilizing ingredients in smarter, more cost effective ways.

The test cooks at America's Test Kitchen take our best recipes from throughout the year and scale them back for two.
