World on a Plate Spice Set from SKORDO and Cookbook Collection

This month we are celebrating Eat Your Books’ tenth birthday
with special promotions! Today’s giveaway features five of my
favorite books from Hardie Grant and Quadrille publishers (they
allowed me to pick!) along with a set of spices from Skordo and two
recipe kits.
I learned about Skordo when a friend was visiting Maine and
happened upon a shop that she knew I would love. Skordo (Greek for
garlic) is a family owned business with two
shops, one in Portland and another in Freeport,
Maine.
As soon as I checked out their website, I placed an order and
contacted the shop about doing a promotion for our EYB members.
Since then I’ve placed two additional orders. I am wild about their
Maine blueberry pork rub and blueberry sugar and cannot wait to dive
into the recipe kits I purchased: Spiced molten chocolate cake and Kue Lapis: Indonesian spiced layer cake. Their
items are packed with care and once you tear into a box you are
enveloped by a world of aromas and culinary possibilities.
Not only does Skordo sell spices, rubs and kits but they also
offer an assortment of kitchen products, cookbooks and more! Their
rewards program is something to take advantage off – for every
purchase you earn coupons towards additional orders. There are

detailed, easy-to-follow recipes and outlines some of the tricks of
the trade, such as how to get the most out of garlic, when to
double-fry for best results, and why vinegar should not be stirred.
7000 Islands is ideal for the cook who wishes to experiment with
food from this region.
