Pg 223 Spiced Peach Apple and Almond Crumble Made recipe exactly as written. Again, was quick and simple to put together as promised. The taste was lovely but to be honest it was also overly sweet and would need to be altered next time because I would not serve it to guests with the recipe as written. With a few changes though I would make it again as the flavour and combination is unusual and delicious.

(Pg 244 Tiramisu Pots) As promised the recipe was really quick and yummy. I did make quite a few changes though instead of 50ml condensed milk I used the tin (I know! It sounds like a lot but honestly I think if needed it to offset bitterness of coffee). I also skipped Marsala in the cream and added vanilla instead. The cream mixture was fantastic though with that change.

  • Double lemon chicken

    • FJT on September 04, 2020

First of all this was delicious and quite quick/easy to make, so I will make it again. The fresh lemon that I sliced as thin as possible on my mandolin was not cooked in the relatively short time in the oven and, whilst it imparted flavour and looked pretty, the rinds weren't edible and we all picked it out! The preserved lemon was great though. I served this with mashed potatoes and green beans following Gordon's recommendations but next time I would make much more sauce and serve over rice.

Lovely soup. full of flavour with a great texture. Have struggled to find a squash soup recipe that doesn't fall a bit flat. This one has been cooked a number of times already.
