Top fifty 2021 books added to EYB Members Bookshelves

A member posted an interesting question after reading Jane’s top selling books of 2021: She wanted to know which books from 2021 were added to the most members’ bookshelves. (This was a great question and we’ll add this report to our yearly summaries in the future.)

I took an hour and went through the listing of 2021 books in our library and collected the data in a spreadsheet – the top fifty titles are set out below and reflect titles from around the globe.

It is no surprise that Ottolenghi is at the top of the list.

    Huge thanks for taking the time to do this list for us. I actually guessed several of the titles earlier today while waiting for the post….either from what I bought / received this year or from regularly reading member recipe comments.

    Wow – I only have one on this list. I have a few books from the same authors but not the particular book on the list. Food for thought, not sure what that says about my tastes 🙂

    This is very interesting, but I’m guessing, by the relatively low numbers of purchases of some of these (relative to the number of EYB subscribers, whatever that number is) that multiple hundreds or even thousands of cookbook titles were added to our bookshelves over the past year. Another interesting number would be how many individual titles overall were added.
